Thanks for providing the free textbooks! What a great resource.

Would it be possible to generate ebook versions of these, instead of just PDFs? ebooks can be automatically reformatted to fit different sizes of e-reader. This would provide a much better reading experience on devices like the Amazon Kindle.

Given the source files which generated the PDFs, I believe it's straightforward to produce an ebook output (.epub or .mobi), although I've never tried it myself.

 

Here's an idea for making it as easy as possible for people to help out with this. What if we put the source for these documents up on GitHub? Then anyone can take a crack at making an ebook output. This would also make it easier to maintain the content: people can put together pull requests which can be reviewed.

Does the author have any objections to making the source available on GitHub?
