Just found out this afternoon one of my Friends family all had COVID19, my Motorcycle friends wife got it from a Junior High school Student in her Art Class, he spread it to 4 other Students. She remembers he talked a few times with his mask down, she thinks he atomized droplets from speaking onto items needed for a group project.

They each touched the items, she put the items away, and cleaned up with sanitizers which is her job as an instructor. She believes that’s when she had first contact before Christmas 2020, she was tested twice two days apart first time nothing second time she got the diagnoses. Her oldest daughter 14 got it 2 days later, then again the son 2 days later my Biker friend, luckily they all had mild symptoms 2 of their neighbors contracted it and died, each of them still vary from smell and taste issues like others in the country. He reminded me I called around Christmas last year thats when he told me they we’re in quarantine. Suddenly I remembered the call and warning but had forgotten, driving home this afternoon I realized how close I came, somehow I managed to dodge a COVID bullet. Makes you think.

Some days you walk out of the house not knowing when or if?

It’s why I always kiss my wife goodbye when she leaves or I do.

https://gothamist.com/arts-entertai...reopening-friday-after-long-pandemic-shutdown

After the pandemic turned off the lights and shut down the cotton candy machines in Coney Island for 18 months, it was announced on Monday that the beloved amusement parks will finally reopen to the public this Friday.

Starting April 9th, Deno’s Wonder Wheel Amusement Park and Luna Park in Coney Island will reopen for the first time since October 19th, 2019. Initially, it will reopen at 33% capacity, with guests mandated to socially distance, wear face coverings, get a temperature check, and purchase tickets ahead of their visit.

"2020 marked the first time in 100 years that the wheel has not spun," said the Vourderis family, owners and operators of Deno's Wonder Wheel Amusement Park since 1983. "While it was a devastating time for many, we are excited to welcome back guests and celebrate the life and passion of our parents and grandparents’ hard work who dedicated their lives to providing Coney Island with a warm welcoming amusement park on the Boardwalk."

Somehow I just can't picture Coney Island or any large amusement park with social distancing and mask. Let alone taking kids there. :) Fond memories of Coney Island as a kid.

https://thehill.com/policy/healthca...-tamps-down-fears-of-another-coronavirus-wave

Anthony Fauci, the nation's top infectious diseases expert, on Tuesday said he is confident the mass vaccination effort underway in the United States will prevent another "explosion" of coronavirus cases and a fourth deadly wave of the pandemic.

"As long as we keep vaccinating people efficiently and effectively, I don't think that's gonna happen," Fauci said of a fourth wave during an appearance on MSNBC's Morning Joe. "That doesn't mean that we're not going to still see an increase in cases."

Gosh I wish he'd go away. Some people just can't get enough of the spotlight.
He's just hawking his wares to whoever will listen. "Nevermind actual numbers of deaths folks, let's base our most important public policy on meaningless infection rates." I doesn't make any sense of course but then how else is he going to move his product? Snake oil doesn't sell itself!

I call them what I see them as, attention whores.

One problem which has existed since day one is doctors, even doctors who specialize in infectious disease all will have differing opinions. Like I said a few hundred post ago, find an opinion you like and run with it. Most of the published numbers are nonsense anyway. Death certificates are merely hot stamped or gun decked. Patient with severe COPD develops COVID and dies. Truth is in many cases they were on death's door step and COVID merely accelerated things.

• Vitamin D modulates the systemic inflammatory response through interaction with immune system.
• We systematically reviewed studies about vitamin D3 and risk and mortality for COVID-19 infection.
• Reduced vitamin D values resulted in a higher infection risk, mortality and severity COVID-19 infection.
A summary of the study:

I like the latest news that COVID survivors have increased chances of developing depression and other mental issues. Increased compared to what? Did they look at what is happening to general population right now?

I think a good diagnosis is "collective psychosis"...

I give up. Getting ready to go get our second shot. Asked my neighbor if him and his wife got theirs. Turns out he actually believes the government is injecting tracking devices. OK, whatever. My dogs do have ID tags. :)

This is your chance to sell them a tracker-shielder... or an anti-tracking device... or a GPS-cloaker or whatever name you think they're gonna fall for.

Buy some nicotine patches. Use acetone or some solvent to remove manufacturer labeling. Apply Chinese knock-off SMD chips on the inside. Privately sell them as anti-tracking devices. Get an addicted customer base. Price them high.

(Disclaimer: This is sarcasm and parody. No intent is meant to actually recommend this as a realistic plan.)

Or maybe just a laser tattoo remover...

In other words, they've found a covert way to embed the record of a vaccination directly in a patient's skin rather than documenting it electronically or on paper - and their low-risk tracking system could greatly simplify the process of maintaining accurate vaccine records, especially on a larger scale.

"In areas where paper vaccination cards are often lost or do not exist at all, and electronic databases are unheard of, this technology could enable the rapid and anonymous detection of patient vaccination history to ensure that every child is vaccinated," researcher Kevin McHugh said in a statement.

The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation funded the team's research, which was published in the journal Science Translational Medicine on Wednesday.

According to a Scientific American story, the project came about following a direct request from Microsoft founder Bill Gates himself, who has been personally involved in efforts to eradicate polio and measles through vaccinations.

The invisible "tattoo" accompanying the vaccine is a pattern made up of minuscule quantum dots - tiny semiconducting crystals that reflect light - that glows under infrared light. The pattern - and vaccine - gets delivered into the skin using hi-tech dissolvable microneedles made of a mixture of polymers and sugar.
Wow, that Gates Foundation sure does kickstart some great social programs too. Don't they?
