In further experiments, the scientists found that HRV suppressed the replication of SARS-CoV-2, regardless of which virus infected the cells first.

Conversely, SARS-CoV-2 had no effect on the growth of HRV.

To test their hunch that HRV was inhibiting SARS-CoV-2 by triggering the cells’ innate immune response, the researchers repeated their experiments in the presence of a molecule that blocks the effects of interferon.

Sure enough, the molecule restored the ability of SARS-CoV-2 to replicate in cells infected with HRV.

“Our research shows that human rhinovirus triggers an innate immune response in human respiratory epithelial cells, which blocks the replication of the COVID-19 virus, SARS-CoV-2,” says senior author Prof. Pablo Murcia.

I am tired of hearing about variants. Viruses mutate very fast as they have minimal "error checking". Same mutations are bound to show up in different geographic areas if they are benefitial in any shape or form as they will propogate. It does not necessarily mean that the "variant" was brought there

Ineffective cloth and most consumer masks are a public proxy for other government forced behavior modifications to restrict human movements (restriction of social interactions) that actually do work during a pandemic. The actual data has shown that mask mandates (with little restrictions on how effective a mask is) make little or no difference in the wave cycle. The virus just mutates (becomes more contagious) around the transmission loss. The double mask goof was one of the dumbest preventive measures presented. Yet I saw people running around out there wearing double mask. I have to admit this entire COVID thing has led to me witnessing some really strange behavior from people. Like I mentioned, I am living in a world I don't understand. The Government at every level has not failed to disappoint me either.

I'm all for the vaccination of every human on the planet but a 75% acceptance rate is actually very good for a experimental vaccine without normal FDA testing. You can't even make the military take the jab with a emergency use authorization.

Actually I like gun shows and motorcycle shows. Matter of fact many of the nicest and more generous people I know attend gun shows and bike shows. I will just take your comment as a token of how uninformed you are. Yes, I attend gun shows, enjoy my guns and wife and I are both vaccinated. You really should refrain from subjects you obviously know nothing about.
