Hello,
I am working on ionizer.
I need this needle to create corona effect.
But I dont know how can I get or buy?
I will apply high voltage(approximately 1.5-2KV)to needles.
Any suggestion would be great.

Gold plating a needle is very easy to do, even at home. Tungsten is a bit difficult to machine, but tungsten wire is readily available. Even Amazon sells it. A local welding shop will have tungsten electrodes (wire) for TIG welding electrodes. Simply grind it to a point, which is what welders do.

I'm not sure if this is important: you will find that a sewing needle will create an unstable corona. I know this from experience.

There are materials with which the result will be far more stable. I know what they are but I cannot tell you.

If stability is important, I recommend a lot of experiments with different materials. Think outside the box.

Thanks for your return.
But the point is I want to know that is there any needle that has measurements(5.72mm) in the photo I shared.

I apologize for not answering to your satisfaction.

There are two places to begin:
1) Do a thorough search to find something for sale that meets your needs; or
2) Define what your needs really are and make it.

Since AAC is a "do it" site, not a "sell it" site, I mistakenly assumed you wanted to make it. However, maybe the other member who responded will be willing to sell you one of his. Note that the measurement you took is flawed as the needle is not perpendicular to the jaws.

Now, as I said, if all you want is a tungsten needle of some "correct length" ( not some alloy of tungsten, such as thoriated tungsten*), get a piece of tungsten wire of the correct diameter (which probably makes very little difference), grind a point on it, using the same grinder notch the wire a little longer than needed, break it (it's brittle), then grind the broken end to length. There is a trick to getting a really sharp point. That is, grind into the point, not away from it -- like when sharpening a knife.
