Converting line level output from computer to mic level

Hi.can somone give me some advice on how i would convert line level output from my pc to mic level so i can imput it to another device that only accepts line level audio.i know i can purchase a line to mic converter but im unsure what one i would choose.my computer is outputting line level through a 3.5mm aux cable and i need that 3.5mm to be carrying mic level... (im imputing the audio into a Playstation 4 video game console,but dont worry i will hack up the wires so the the output from the pc is connected to the imput of the Playstation.i just need to know what i can do to make the level going into it is mic level.

Welcome to AAC.

What you need is a 3.5mm in-line attenuator. You can find them on Amazon, eBay, and other places.

They are designed to do exactly what you want.

If you want to build something instead, look up “L pads”.
