I have been trying to use a piezo film sensor ( https://www.sparkfun.com/products/9199 ) for detecting the vibration of my A/C unit continuously. I am very new to this kind of stuff and found online that paralleling a high-value resistance will dampen the AC spike. Can someone please tell me how that happens and how the output will be if I parallel the terminals of the film with a high resistance. My doubt is since they are paralleled, there won't be a difference in the voltage output, right?
Any other advices or topics of research on the same will be greatly appreciated. Please help me, my project is due soon
