Connecting Voltage points to a single screw terminal

Hey all,
I was building a specific Serial cable that connected to a power supply and light sensor. I need to have 24v going into pins on the cable and also into my light sensor. Is it okay to just connect my 24V input to a screw terminal and connect all the components that need 24v to the same screw terminal? I was also going to do this for ground as it would make the overall wiring look a bit nicer. Any help would be useful Thanks!

It's OK, but it may hamper troubleshooting. Only you can decide. It is wise to keep high current returns separate and connected at one place.

When I designed control panels, Connections were always together near the point of entry to the box. Then wired to the appropriate internal terminals.

The phone company uses the same technique with the lines and the stations, They are connected with cross-connects.

For Control enclosures I use DIN rail mount terminals, this way you can use the copper strap in order make any number of terminals common as required.
If making a custom board, then you have the option of adding a extra terminal block or as needed.
Max.
