I am trying to build a device that takes a standard computer monitor output (those wacky blue cables) and turns it into a component video signal for a TV while still sending to a computer. This needs to be wireless or infrared.
Could anyone please help me?

Sending the signal is not the big problem here. First, you need to convert the format from VGA (whatever the resolution you want) to video signal (whatever TV system you have). You can google for VGA signal standard and TV signal standard, read about them and proceed from there. Or.. this is the easy way out, you could buy a box that do the conversion and a wireless video sender and hook them up together.

 

Do you want to build this for fun & learning, or simply to be able to use it? If it is simply for utility, several such things are marketed already.
