Computer hardware is the collection of physical components and all components connected to printed circuit board. main part of computer is motherboard where all components connected with cable wires or without wires means using some tracks on printed circuit board. Motherboard controls many parts of the computer and holds many chips


This is Motherboard of Desktop computer where all components connected on single board.

Laptop Motherboard: it also work as desktop computer do



I am looking manufacturing information of motherboard. how does it make?. I mean what the manufacturer do ? they only make PCB than insert all chips on PCB and after that, they connect all chip by using soldering iron or they follow different process. for general information , I want to understand what is process of making the motherboard of Desktop/laptop or Mobile board ?

SMT is a method for making electronic circuits in which the components are mounted or placed directly onto the surface of printed circuit boards (PCBs). So Surface-mount technology is used to make motherboard of desktop/Laptop also used to make mobile board.

I have doubt, when I see motherboard of Desktop computer and Laptop. I see Laptop board is smaller than Desktop computer and I see the analog component such as resistor, capacitor on Desktop Motherboard while I don't see analog components in laptop board. they are same or different from each other
