What is the actual reason behind IGBTs having lesser conduction losses then SiC MOSFET. For same application I can see that an IGBT having same power rating exhibits 10 times more switching losses but 3 times lesser conduction losses then SiC MOSFET

I think the "IGBT is better" is from marketing hype.
In low voltage applications, it is the wrong part because it takes 1V of loss before the part starts to conduct while the MOSFET conducts at very low voltage loss. A junction Transistor has less C-E voltage loss that a IGBT but most people do not know how to drive the Base.
IGBTs are slow.
