Hi,

The circuit attached has the following parameters:

Vcc = 12V
Vin: 4Vpp (AC signal)
Vout: 10Vpp
Q1=2n3904, so I suppose hfe=β=100

I need to find all of the resistors values.

From the data I know that the gain is Vo/Vi = 2.5

I chose a Collector Current of 1 mA, that is, Ic = 1mA.
I also said that Vc = Vcc/2 to allows the AC input signal to swing full range of +-6V.

So Rc = (Vcc-Vc)/Ic = 6k

Since Gain = Vo/Vi = A = Rc/Re
Re = Rc/A = 6k/2.5 = 2.4k
Ve = Ie Re ~ Ic Re = 2.4V
We have that Vb = Ve + Vbe = 3.1V

To limit the power supply current through the base choose R2 < Zin ~ (1/10) β Re
Let R2 = (β /10) Re = 24k
R2 = 24k

Then R1 can be calculated by considering the current and voltage drop on R1.
I2 = Vb / R2 = 0.129mA
Ib = IC/β =10uA
I1 = I2 + IB = 0.139mA

R1 = (12V- Vb ) / I1 = 64k
R1=64k

In summary:
R1=64k
R2=24k
Re=2.4k
Rc=6k

When I simulate this in Proteus, I don't get what I expected. I attach what I saw in Proteus Oscilloscope.
Why is so?
