Cnc from small to big

I'm just a tinkerer, not an engineer. I ran into a cnc laser engraver project made from old DVD drives and a cnc shield. I'm pretty much done with it and as far as I want to take that small project.

But I remembered I have some ballscrews that I once got for a camera project. However they are different sizes. Here is the 300mm one that I used in the camera project. The other 2 are 700 and 1100mm. I also have some 4.8kg cm Nema 17 motors I could use.

I was just wondering what issues I could run into with different sized ballscrews for x and y? Otherwise I'll just get the missing ballscrew size for any of the three I already have.

However I could just get a whole machine for about 150$.

Suggestions? It would be just for tinkering.

They are cold rolled so check for backlash, prescision ground are the best, but pricey$$.
The larger diameter is usually used on the axis with the highest load, if they are different.
With normal CNC setup/integration the TPI resolution is relevant to the parameter(s) that declare the inch/mm per rev. in order to program in the desired units.
Max.
