If we swap the NMOS and PMOS transistors in a CMOS inverter, what will happen?

Will it still work like an inverting or a non-inverting buffer.

forgive the question, what do you mean by swapping the nmos & pmos of a cmos inverter. are you referring to the supply terminal?
