It is a distorted wave, sometimes called a soft clip. As the voltage varies through the positive half-cycle, the current in R2 varies so the voltage drop across R2 varies. This voltage is added to the constant voltage drop across D1 and the constant voltage V1. The negative half cycle circuit does not have the resistor, so once the input exceeds V2 plus the voltage drop across D2 you get a hard clip.
