My ancient Omega calibration standard finally died from Ni-Cd poison.

Ordered some AA flat-end tab batteries for replacement. No board or internal damage thankfully.

 

New batteries fresh from China have arrived.

Remove the old ones and cleanup the PCB.

Needed to mod the battery tabs to fit the holes.

Used a spacer under the batteries to keep the PCB separation while soldering the mod tabs to the old battery holes.

Good as new!
