Thanks for your answer ...but how the C reverse the polarity to turn on and of the tow thyristorsIt certainly has to be bipolar type since it charges in both directions.
This capacitor overdrive the load for a small moment, so if its capacity is too big this moment will be longer.
On other hand a very small cap may not to turn off Scr because its charge can be waisted during commutation on Scr structure before Scr turns off.
I agree that a polarized (electrolytic or tantalum) capacitor would be unsuitable. There is no indication of the required capacitance, or the material used in the construction or the tolerance or the temperature coefficient. It is hard to give you ANY kind of definitive answer without more information.
