I have a 150W high pressure sodium lamp and I’d like to make it work. I also have a ballast for it, but I don’t have an ignitor. Of cause, I could buy one, but I’d like to make it myself. So, my question is: does anybody know where to find a circuit diagram of such an ignitor? The problem is that in Google search I can easily find circuits describing how to connect ignitor but not the circuit of the ignitor itself. Well, actually, I’ve found several patented circuits, but they are too complex for my simple experimental needs and they also do not provide some essential information, such as coil characteristics.
I would very much appreciate if somebody shared a working (tested) circuit diagram.
