Hello all
I'm building project for my little son, and stuck on the very first begining.
I tried to find some products and answers/examples "how to do it", but i can't find what i need. Maybe its to dumb to even write about it but ... yeah... so...
I wish to build an car interior model and i wanna put some push buttons (shapes like brake and gas pedal, horn, etc...) to play some sounds.
I would use max of 5 pushbuttons to play some sound related to its meaning.
So please help, what is the simpleiest (cheapiest) way to do it?
Whitch parts to use? Sound chips with 10-30 sec recording? (if so how to use multiple sounds and inputs with it?)
Please help and thank you very much in advance.

But they have just one input to start one sequence?
You mean to buy five of them ? well maybe that is a sollution :D

Yeah, the inexpensive recordable sound circuit cards (10 seconds to 30 seconds) only do one sequence but they are also about $3 on Ebay. I see some on Amazon also.

Keeping things simple and cheap buying 5 circuit cards at under $3 each is a pretty inexpensive start. The actual chips originally developed by ISD became Winbond and are now Nuvotron. You can buy much more advanced chips, make your own board(s) and embed sounds in memory locations on chips but that is where we go from simple, to more complex and expensive. Here are some examples of the more advanced chips with their interfaces listed. When things begin to add up and develop a few bucks for several prefab cards starts to look appealing. :)

Thank you Rob and i fully agree with you :D

I have arduino and i tought to use it with some microSD cards, speakers etc, etc... but it would be pretty much stupid to use all of that on something so simple. Thought to use arduino and build something serious but not worth it of such effort :D

Thank you very much Ron, DNA and I'll just keep it simple for this one :D
