“Karen” the alligator was a passenger in the car and tried to flee, police said, and was caught after a short scuffle.
“Karen is not facing any charges at this time,” police said. “We believe she was an unwilling participant during the incident, nor do we believe she was ever in control of the vehicle.”

Now for miles in both directions, the roadside was lined with worn RVs and rusted boats doubling as shelter. And spilling out from those RVs, the trash and castoffs from this makeshift neighborhood also stretched for miles, making for a chaos that unnerved her.
Broken chairs, busted-up car parts, empty booze bottles, soiled blankets, discarded clothes, crumpled tarps. Every so often, it was more than she could bear, and she attacked the clutter around her own RV, trying furiously to organize the detritus into piles.
“Look at all this garbage out here — it used to be beautiful nature, but now it’s all polluted,” she said, as the stench of urine and burned rubber hung in the damp air. “The deer and river otters and beavers have to live with all this garbage.”

New research recommends turning off the air conditioning while you're at work.
"You could save over ten percent on an annual basis in a really hot climate like Phoenix," said Ash Pigott, a Ph.D. student at the University of Colorado who worked on the research.
Pigott and her team simulated the energy use of an average home in Arizona and Georgia.
They look at three different scenarios: Someone who left the air conditioning on all day, someone who turned it off for four hours, and someone who turned it off for a "full work day" (eight hours).
Homes that turned off the air for eight hours saw the greatest energy savings.
Obvious? yes ... but did it have to be said out loud by the media and world leaders even at this point? ... that too ...
There are those that would like the 'pandemic' restrictions and rules to continue Ad infinitum, Ad nauseam. IMO those types need to be told to move on with their lives.Obvious? yes ... but did it have to be said out loud by the media and world leaders even at this point? ... that too ...
Yes there are... I wonder what their motivations are, for that matter... other than just being sociopathic control freaksThere are those that would like the 'pandemic' restrictions and rules to continue Ad infinitum, Ad nauseam. IMO those types need to be told to move on with their lives.
I wouldn't mind if some of the social distancing becomes a trend. I hate when friends and their wives try to kiss me hello or goodbye and all that handshaking. I grew up in the Midwest and Bud Grant was one of my heros (NBA championship player, NFL/CFL player and 4-time NFL super bowl coach - lost all four). He was famous for shaking hands once at a meeting/party. If people try to shake his hand again on the way out, they'd get an earful of profanity. That man was "pandemic ready" all his life. There are those that would like the 'pandemic' restrictions and rules to continue Ad infinitum, Ad nauseam. “In general, cats appear to conserve energy to the greatest extent possible, minimizing the amount of time and effort required to meet their caloric requirements.”
