Capitance meter fault_

I have a problem with capacitance measurement on my micronta 22- 194 multimeter. I have to twist the case a little bit left or right with two hands for the meter to read the capacitance of the inserted capacitor. This happens on any range. I opened it but it looks too complicated for me. Does someone have any idea of what the fault may be? Is there a short or a loose connection somewhere? Maybe at the jacks? 20190210_160322.jpg

If, as it appears, the capacitors must be connected to their own dedicated terminals then that is the place to start. Confirm that the terminals themselves are clean and are reliably connected to the meter circuitry.

The capacitors under test has their own dedicated terminals if you can see them on the photo. I reheated the joints of the terminals on the circuit board with my soldering iron and now get a reliable capacitance measurement.

Several years ago Tandy had a very serious quality problem with soldering in some of their equipment. Your meter may have been from that era. Glad the simple fix worked well.
