Is there any rule for selecting the type of snubber capacitor (polar or non), for IGBT Full Bridge Inverter??

I'm about to reverse existing inverter design for induction heating. I'm in mechanical engineering.

In the power stage, he used the different type of capacitor for snubber.
What will happen if I use both polar, both non polar, and polar-nonpolar?

If you are talking about C9 and C10 they are decoupling or filter caps for the power supply. They can be polarized (electrolytic) from Vcc to ground.

A though that it was snubber capacitor, for voltage spike protection, or even for achieving zero voltage switching.

Recently, i realized, for achieving zero voltage switching, maybe the capacitor should be placed across the two switch in the same leg, not in every leg. Or, we can place 4 capacitor across each switch.

Am I right?

 

I was trying to understand the Waveform of a Full Bridge. I thought driving 2 AC phases.

But, this help me understand.
