Capacitor charge and discharge Time Constant

OK, I am confused... They are the same, RC x 5 for full charge and discharge. Then I ran into this.

Ok they are the same TC = RC = 2Ω x 470uF = 0.94ms
Then for discussion, they threw this in.

Once again, they are the same. Am I missing something here? They are not asking for the time to charge or discharge to and from specific voltages which would be different. As part of a rectifier smoothing filter the time the capacitor charges and discharges on the ripple would be differnt but that is not apparently what they are asking or is it?

I think that is exactly what the are asking for.
The charge time-constant is determined mainly by the diode resistance, and the discharge time-constant is determined by the load resistance.
