Hi,i have a problem in understanding how to determine the value of a capacitor to use in a cct.
eg A cct is using Vcc=7vdc
I=0.5A
Then the purpose of the capacitor is to reduce noise hum in the output speaker.
whats the difference in using may be 16v 330μF, or 50v 2200μF?

An accurate answer is not possible without the circuit to examine. A 16 volt rating is safe in a 7 volt circuit, but I do not know what the capacitor is doing.

Hi,
i was thinking on general ccts.eg in the case of a rectifier or the capacitor is being used to reduce noise hum,whats the difference of using 16v 2200μF capacitor and 16v 330μF in the same cct?
