So I was disassembling an old landline phone charger yesterday, just for fun, and I found this:


I have no idea what it is. I've tried searching online, but I didn't find anything. So I was hoping someone here could help. The reference designator for it is "SA1".

Looks like an anti surge component, or a little neon tube that would be used as an anti surge device.

 

It looks like a Neon bulb.
