Do you understand what Power & Ratings mean? It means that the device is unsafe if the ratings are exceeded. Simply, do you understand that 230 > 120?


This likely is my last comment. I hope I don’t hear about you in the next Darwin Awards.

 

I think the confusion here is the TS imagines 120VAC and 240VAC as two "kinds" of connections, as if they are the names of types and compatibility can't be inferred by the ratings.

This is pretty common. It's from a surface understanding of how these devices operate.

Obviously, "NO", is the right answer.
