Given my recent discovery of improper lead diameter for 1/4W resistors...Has anyone found 1/4W bulk resistor packs that are economical *and* the correct lead diameter?
Plan your vias so they accept a variety of sizes within tolerances. Solder will do the rest.Given my recent discovery of improper lead diameter for 1/4W resistors...Has anyone found 1/4W bulk resistor packs that are economical *and* the correct lead diameter?
The other reason that's a good idea is if you ever have to desolder one, slightly oversized holes make that process much easier!Plan your vias so they accept a variety of sizes within tolerances. Solder will do the rest.
Along with making your vias more reasonable in size, I'm curious as to your calcs for selecting 1/4W resistors instead of 1/8W? I don't know what you're doing, so thought I'd ask. Maybe an 1/8W resistor will do what you need, and the lead-diameter is less.Given my recent discovery of improper lead diameter for 1/4W resistors...Has anyone found 1/4W bulk resistor packs that are economical *and* the correct lead diameter?
