Centuries, months, what difference does it make?
I have suspicions that this abrupt change in things will be deemed a 'weather anomaly' not climate change being every time something that goes against the AGW/CC crowds views happens it will not be acknowledged or give credit for what its worth. Only proof of perceived negative change is valid.

Any weather event that is seen as negative is deemed proof of AGW/CC no matter if it only lasts a day or a week or a month. However any positive changes anywhere has to play out in unfaltering perfection for at least 30 - 50 years to be acknowledged as possible positive climate change for a location.

The multi year california drought will still be proof of AGW/CC just as if they now go into a multi year rain cycle where too much water becomes the problem to deal with where it will be then also be shown to be equal proof even if they both totally contradict everything they define AGW/CC by from one extreme to another. :p

Yes and you (the believers) really need to tie your shoelaces before continuing to try and participate. The occasional slip up is forgivable but continually falling flat on your face by your own sloppy actions while trying to prove something, but obviously can't to any level above anecdotal accounts, is just embarrassing to everyone.

Most people who pay attention the very relevant science and politics behind the AGW /Climate Change fuss aren't stupid and uninformed as some would wish us to be seen as. If anything we continually show it to be just he opposite over and over.
We (skeptics) aren't the ones being continually caught up in lies and political spins nor are we the ones being continually and outrightly proven wrong day after day and year after year in our predictions by the very acts of nature we claim to have such superior knowledge of. :(

You can say and claim whatever you like about us (skeptics) but the very harsh reality is that we are not the ones being continually caught in lies, manipulations of data, political scandals, gross media disinformation and above all being outrightly given the finger and proven wrong by nature itself all over this planet over what we have claimed and predicted to be so very real and true only to have it being continually and repeatedly shown to be little more than over hyped yet weak poorly informed speculation with a way too much 'worst case scenario what if' hype thrown in. :(
There you go. Look the problem straight in the eye.

You personally, I hope not. But look me in the eye and say that data isn't being distorted by the biggest polluters on the planet in their favor.

Come the F on.
Of all the data manipulation I have yet to see and that's been made public, No, the biggest polluters (unless you are referring to the hypocritical liberals themselves who keep pushing their cause) are not the biggest data manipulators, exaggerators and outright liars behind the issue.

That's the problem I and so many others have. The business entities the liberal believers cult blame so much on are continually proving they are not the ones who are lying and making things up to push an agenda. :(

So as metaphorically looking you in the eye as I can, No, they (the suposed polluters) are not the ones doing the worst informational distortions to push their agenda.
They are largely, like the rest of us skeptics, fighting the defensive against the real liars and data manipulators on the issue, not the taking the offensive with the lies and worse, to which most everyone who has sat down and looked at the real information and the realities behind who is who and how they do operate in the whole mess it's not hard to see who (liberal driven organizations and government) has every intent to use them to grab as much power and control over everything they can. :(

Yep. Them and everyone of their like both nation and world wide.

They scream the loudest about environmental protection yet do the worst overall damage to it and what it stands for (then leave their mess for someone else to clean up) and are never satisfied until a lot of time and money has been wasted on their cause ( provided that the majority of that waste of good money went into their collective pockets of course) and not towards any valid measurable degree of true environmental protection and cleanup.:mad:

That's the problem I have with this subject. The real true beneficial pollution cleanup and regulation efforts that did the most good were put in place and have been working well for 2 - 3 decades now.
Most everything else since then, and especially recently, has far more to do with more and more power and greed being carried out under the very weak disguise of environmentalism than it has to do with gaining any further measurable degrees of positive change or improvement in the environment itself.

Take that protest camp for example. I won't be the least bit surprised if the clean up bill for it isn't a few million dollars yet I don't expect that more than a dozen people working for a week or two will be involved that will carry much more than a tiny fraction ($200K tops) of the clean up bills value regarding their own pay and equipment operational outlay leaving the other 90+% of the bill to disappear into 'administrative' who knows what without question.

And don't forget the environmental impact on the river of the trash, human waste, and abandoned vehicles left behind by the protesters.

They're going to save the planet, dammit, even if they have to destroy it first.

We couldn't if we tried. At least not as fast as you guys. It's almost like you're getting paid for digging under yourselves.

That mess they left behind and who has to work and pay for cleaning it up now is a big local issue that everyone is not happy about.

Most everyone here would love to get a list of every person who participated there and send them a bill for their part of the clean up.

I think a lot of othos tree hugging idiots would think differntly aobut how they protest if each and everyone of them got slapped with a $10,000 bill/fine for someone else have to cleaning up after them. And for those who can't afford it give them 2000 hours of community service at $5 an hour value picking up trash to work it off.

If they want the environment clean to their standards they can get off their butts work for it by cleaning up after themselves to do it.

Really?

Please explain exactly whose side made an actual multimillion dollar ecological mess protesting a 'what if' issue and then walked away from it leaving the other side to clean it up and pay for it?

The oil industry made zero mess, the industrial contractors doing the work made zero mess, the people who lived and worked in the are made zero mess but the protesters who were so enraged about something that has not happened and has extremely low odds of happening did in fact make a mess so far beyond what any pipeline leak would ever represent its sick then walked away taking zero responsibility for their actions and damages they did do to the very environment and water source they were so concerned about.

That's the sad/sick/madding part. The very people who claim to so love the environment they will do anything to protect it are the ones who made a huge and very damaging mess then walked away from it claiming zero responsibility for their actions.

Yea, someone undermined their whole stance on things while the world watched no less, but it isn't who you are implying that did it. :(

We don't have our hopes up. We know better than to ever expect the liberal environmental protection crowd to ever clean up after themselves. It's been well defined that it's not what they do.

Living by example is way beyond their capacity simply because it would require them to invest their own time money and get their own hands dirty to do it.

Throw a fit, make a bigger mess and do more damage than anything they are against ever could have done in a worst case scenario then walk away leaving it all for everyone else but them to pay for and clean up. :(

Like they say, socialism works till you run out of other people's money.

Funny how the capitalists system breaks down like that.

"Running out of other peoples money"

I would laugh but it's not funny.
Your responses are sooo pithy and thoughtful tonight.

Does it hurt to think so hard? Warn me in advance, as I am thinking of trying it.
