Hi.
I'm having some issues with my treadmill, its 6 years old and has now decided to blow the fuse on the circuit board of the treadmill. I have replaced the fuse in the treadmill and the plug so the machine turned on but as soon as I press the start button to get the motor working it blows the fuse in the circuit board.

So what I'm asking is whether that means the motor has gone bust or the circuit board needs replacing. I'm from the uk using a 13v plug, the treadmill is called bremshey sport and they don't make them anymore, not sure that's a good sign!

any help appreciated

Is it a DC brushed motor? If so check it out first with an automotive battery.
Blowing fuses are usually the board as the source of the problem.
It may be worth identifying the power semi-conductors, either SCR's or Mosfet, and test with a meter if one is available.
Max.
