Hi,

I want to simulate a boiler, and control some factors such as temperature. Like controlling the temperature of a water tank using a PID loop. I do not have a physical boiler to determine its response and "real transfer function". I just want a simulation model where I can play with it, determine transfer fuction using models etc. I've been searching for it in the web with no success so far. So I guess I would have to build a new complete model by myself in MATLAB/Simulink, but I'm not so expert at it. That's why I'm looking at least for a starting point. Does anyone have sort of experience with this kind of control systems? Is this possible at all? I would appreciate any advice.

Build a closed loop formulae ( don't forget the P. I. D functions) play with the variables and see what happens.
Simple to do in C or even in basic.
few hours work.
