I'm doing a project involving the construction of an class AB amplifier to drive a speaker. I was wondering what would be the easiest way to implement bluetooth audio capabilities to this?

Welcome to AAC.

That question gets asked a lot. As usual, it depends.

If I understand it, you have an amplifier designed and (will get) a speaker. So, it is reasonable to interpret the question as the easiest way to receive audio from a Bluetooth transmission source, received by, and pumped through, what you built.

It is not trivial if you really want to get into the nitty-gritty. The easiest way is probably to buy a cheap Bluetooth audio receiver - not this exactly https://www.amazon.com/TaoTronics-B...multaneously/dp/B01EHSX28M?ref_=fsclp_pl_dp_1, per se, but something similar. IOW, off the shelf and use it with what you build.

If you really want to get into some deeper details, you can get a demo board and start programming. Here are two (I have the TI board):

https://www.mouser.com/new/microchip/microchip-bm63-evalboard/
http://www.ti.com/tool/BOOST-CC2564MODA

There are some very cheap, very much lacking in documentation, boards that you can find around the usual places, e.g, http://www.icstation.com/csr8635-bl...le-loudspeaker-bluetooth-projects-p-9963.html. I am not throwing that out there though as I don't think (I don't know) that it is worthwhile in the long run.

That's what I think, anyways.
