I am using a bldc motor (closed loop) with a BLD300B driver. I am not able to understand the speed attainment potentiometer behavior. It is supposed to increase when rotated in one direction and vice-versa, but it changes erratically each time i switch on and switch off the circuit.

Establish RS232 connection with a computer and see if you get a,set-up menu.
Then verify that the panel mode is in effect.
... some question remaining about variable resistor configuration.
