Hello Group,

I am new to this site. Please help me find this Multivibrator.

I need a Bistable SR Latching Multivibrator which can handle, through the inducters- 110 Volts AC @ 20 amps.

The switching points....bypassing the coils (Inducters), must withstand app. 34,000 volts at 0.83 Amps.

Any ideas where I can buy some of these?

Thanks In Advance!

Surely you mean some kind of mechanical switch gear? Why are there inductors involved?

Please post up a circuit - this is just hard to envision. S-R latches like 74LS279's are logic ic's that handle 5 volts DC at a few milliamps. Your 20 amp current would need a relay to switch it.

Hi Beenthere,

The multivibrator we need was used in an old Air Conditioning system from app. 1949. So, it had contactors, but was a multivibrator 2 coil unit. Actually an S1r bistable latching multivibrator.

The HV will bypass the coils and ride along the exterior circuit.

Any ideas where I can find one of these antiques??

Thanks,
Livingwaters
