No, but I saw several get their throats cut because they had overheated at a FFA auction, and were dying. If they died and weren't dressed out the meat would go bad, but by bleeding them out they could be taken to the slaughter house the next day. Never saw the process, but ate many a hog that I helped raise.

Never gutted a pig myself, but several deer and rabbits. Its nice on cold night digging into those steamy warm guts. gotta get it done quick or else that deer's gonna freeze up and your knuckles with it. and don't rupture that stomach bag....
