I just bought 2 big 1.35hp fans to hang in my freestall. They run off 220. I have a 220 line going to the freestall from my barn cleaner which I don't use anymore. I want to put in 1 box/switch to run both fans plus wire the fans. I've done general wiring in the house. Is this something I can do.

 

It is virtually no difference, except instead of dealing with a live and neutral, you have two live conductors, both of which must be fused and switched.
And include a earth ground conductor.

The barn cleaner motor was 5 HP and 230 of barn cleaner chain. These are 2 new 1.36 HP fans that run easy. So I would say no problem. I hope

I would come in through one of these Heavy Duty Steel Disconnect Switches and below that use a few motor starter switches with thermal overload. This way you can run individually if the need ever arises. Run everything in conduit and meet or exceed any regulations, such as here in the US NEC code and NFPA requirments.
