Hello Everyone,

I have a battery socket, but unfortunately, there's no indication of the model number or any polarity signs on it. As a result, I'm unsure which terminal is positive and which is negative. Could anyone provide guidance or information on identifying the positive and negative terminals?

The center contact is negative. The contact that is the clip on the side is positive.

A lot of coin cell part numbers are derived from the cell size. A CR2032 cell is 20mm dia. and 3.2mm thick. Measure the inside diameter of the socket and the thickness below the retaining clip to determine the size of the intended battery.
