I've never been one to jump on the latest, coolest technologies, so I've never even touched a set of earbuds, let alone used them. As a result, I've never given a thought to the notion of putting something inside your ear that has a lithium-ion battery in it and the potential consequences of one of them catching fire. Then to discover that some of them have very poor-quality battery construction... wow!
