I am facing problems in selecting BMS development kit for 48V .
1.My battery is 13cells in series with 3.7V,so it will be 48V.
2.So I need to select BMS development kit for 13 cells 48V.If I'll select 14 cells BMS development then can I leave one cell pin of BMS.
3.Can we program the BMS development kit through CAN ?

Hello, welcome to AAC.

This is not really a question. Could you explain what you are trying to do and the problems you are having doing it, then maybe someone can help.

You need to give more information. Are you looking for an off-the-shelf BMS or a suitable chip set? What are your criteria for BMS, do you want simple discharge protection or full under/over-volt, charge control, discharge current limit, etc.

What do you know about CANBus? There are various CANBus add-on solutions to proprietary BMS but as far as I know no standardisation between them.

Have a look at:

I am looking for a BMS development board for electric bike that can support 13 cells and should support CAN protocol

I take it this is a home-made pack rather than an off-the-shelf one? Most chip sets don't support CAN, you have to build that in. Do you know your max current output limit? How are you charging the pack? There are many criteria to choosing or designing a BMS, you need to give more information if you want useful responses.

There are 100's of 13S 48v 20/40/50A BMS on ebay for $50 - $75 approx but none support CAN or any other interface and are not programmable as most don't need it.
