I wanted to understand the functioning of this BMS IC.
In my application two 3.6V Li Ion is connected with this battery. I tried to understand the datasheet and it only works for overcharge detection i.e. it detects only overcharge of battery and gives output to disconnect the load.

1st topic - does it detect only the cumulative pack voltage of battery or it monitors individual cell voltage ?
Anyone may suggest the thought.
2nd topic - I am trying to define the DFMEA of this BMS and battery so could anyone suggest some critical mode of failure for safety.
