Battery - device to protect from over charging

I have a Bescor battery supply... used to power motion control in the field, on a slider. For shooting video. It's two Power Sonic 6 volt 12.0 Amp Hr strapped together. There is an Auto Reset Circuit Breaker soldered to one of the battery terminals... it protects the batteries from being over hared... opens when more than 12 amps are detected.

It needs to be slim as the two batteries fold together and insert inside of a pouch.

Anyone know where I can purchase one of these? I didn't know what it was when I was scraping it to remove it... so I probably screwed up the old one. The old batteries are dead... they sat for over a year and now won't charge... so I bought two more (upper left).

Any help or guidance would be appreciated.

Yes, I saw they were wired in series.

You might be able to restore those other two batteries to some state of charge, especially if that circuit breaker were open and not allowing you to discharge nor charge them. You would be doing them individually, but, I'll let you read at battery university or read the data sheets for those batteries.

I already have the new replacement batteries... and I may have destroyed the breaker in trying to figure out what this glob of rubber is... and Bescor states that if the batteries sit for six months or more that are likely completely dead.... they have been sitting for over a year.

If you don't want to attempt to restore them, fine. Don't. I'm just putting that out there. Have you tested that wire with the breaker? If the breaker is reset, you should read 12 V when measuring between the neg of one battery to the positive of the other. Then you can put a 1200 ohm resistor across the battery and measure 10 mA of DC current.
