It has 1. Button the Discharge Button.

I know it is always good to Charge Batteries even before you use then the first time.

Should I run the Discharge first?

I think it is a good thing to do but I wanted to ask.

 

It's for NiMH and nicads batteries, i would just charge them up first.

 

The discharge button is in theory, to avoid the memory effect in nicad batteries. If the batteries in question are anything else, do not waste attery life cycles by discharging them first.
