Hello guys!

I have two battery pack and two bldc motor which drive the shaft in a hybrid go-kart project at my school. An inverter controls the bldc motor. During normal operation I know what is happening, but I don't know what I will get in the inverters inputs when bldc motor works as generator. So this would be my questions that It can be work backwards and If the answer is yes what I will get in the inverter inputs what kind of characteristic, spike, DC/AC three, one pase or conastant signal, need boost or buck converter or any circuits. Because I should be designed and Battery management system for the drive system (regenerative braking, charging battery's etc.) My system is 36V. Battery parameter 2.6Ah 36V 93,6Wh. I don't know the bldc motor appropriate but I hope anyone could help me with this information. The bldc motor is feeding with 36V DC energy and it could drive the go-cart.

Thank you,
Dave

Generated output is usually 3 phase pure sine wave, frequency obviously decided by rpm.

So with combination of rectifier and inverter I could drive my bldc motor and it also could charge battery in generator mode . How could I calcualte the generated energy at the DC side in generator mode to know that I need buck or boost converter
