Lionode: A device all but the bravest electrons will refuse to challenge, even those brave enough to imperil their existance stand little chance. Based on the Darwin effect a lionode will totally block approximately 90 percent of current flow, consume about 8 percent and let 2 percent through. Please note that it has a tendancy to launch itself from the board at fleeing electrons so proper soldering, mounting and bonding technicques are a must.

Haven't seen one of those beasts in quite a while.

If I remember correctly they are four-legged devices that are commonly attached to mains:D . Right?
