Okay so parents asked me to find out what should be the specs of the ballast for their blueprinter with 140 watt UV lamp and starter. Can you help me?

I have generally no idea about this stuff so If you need more info, I'll just ask them and post it here.

 

I would turn it back on them. What are the specs on the bulb (make and model)? Is this a DIY rig or a commercial product that has failed?

 

Many of those types of HID UV arc lamp based systems used a uncoated mercury vapor bulb or metal halide bulb so that the two types of ballast systems I would be looking at for replacement parts.

 

Is there an existing (failed) ballast? If so, identifying marks on it, or at least a pic and some dimensions, would be helpful.
