backlight voltage

hi.i have a tv model lg 42lb5610 sound and no picture. some leds are burned out i know they are connected in serie.my question is if the tv has 32 leds at 3 watts each one would be 32 time 3 equal to 96 watts why the power supply said 208 volt at 235 ma. and when the strips leds are disconnected i checked the positive of the strips leds feed and i get almost 300 volt and then they start goin down to 110 volt . with the negative on the chassis. thanks so much.
