Which is why I linked in a story that had more connection to the movie Avatar, where humans are linked to separate living beings which can withstand the conditions on the alien moon, rather than being in control of a robotic body.

I'm certainly not willing to put any money on this Russian achieving this in 30 years. In fact, I'd be strongly tempted to place a pretty strong wager on him not achieving it even in 50 years. I wonder if Vegas has a line on it. Perhaps it would make a good investment for my daughter's retirement plan.
