I would like to set up a circuit that will run a small motor (3-6v), although I may vary this to control the speed. The main objective is to make the motor come on every 30 minutes at alternating directions for a very short time (maybe 5 seconds). I've found circuit kits that act as variable pulse timers, so I could simply use one of those. The main thing is the motor aspect. It will be used in an incubator for turning birds eggs. The eggs need to be turned every 30 minutes, 180 degrees each time.
I have a basic understanding of circuits, so if anyone has any ideas or suggestions for components that I could use, I would be most grateful.
