Audio Splitting & Signal Loss

Hi everyone,

I'm fairly new to electricity and electronics in general. So I'm wanting to make an audio splitter (1 inputs, 2 outputs for example). There's an image below showing the configuration I have in mind (I couldn't find a 1/4" Phone jack in Eagle cad so I had to improvise). My question to you all is: is there any signal loss or voltage loss when splitting a signal like this, and if so, how much signal loss?

Thanks!

Max

It depends upon the source and load impedances.
For typical audio circuits where the source impedance is very low compared to the load, there will be no appreciable loss in signal by connecting more than one load to the same source.
