1 M - 100 nF is a time constant of 100 ms. That's noticeable, but not particularly slow. What do you mean by "slow", and how fast is fast enough.

The simple thing to try is to reduce R127 to 100 K, and then to 10 K, and see if that is ok.

i tried reducing C70 until 0.01 uF and it was still "slow" meaning that i still hear some distorsion in the output (this is a muting circuit). It is probably dued to a couple fat capacitors at the power stage which deflate the voltage quite slowly. In this way, the transistor's Cutoff Voltage is reached slowly.
I'm gonna try reducing R127 and see what changes but at the moment i had only satisfying results by feeding around -4V at the gate of the J109 (via simple voltage divider)
