hello : ) i am new to electronics, i hope someone can help.

i am wondering how it might be possible to convert an audio line level wave; perhaps 1000 hz 0 db signal into a 5volt 2 amp DC power output to trigger a relay such as a "Ds2Y-SDC5v Nais DPDT 5v 2A DiP Relay"

hope that made sense. any help would be great : ) thanks.

thanks for your reply: )

I've found that Line level signal is AC ,with consumer electronics running at -10dbv

= 0.316 VRMS

So perhaps I need to find a different relay that will switch on that signal, or convert the weak line level AC signal into something more usable?

I shall check out the twin -T.

Can anyone else help regards a relay idea?

: )
