I want to know what is the effect of the order of gain on several amplifiers arranged in a row?
For example, the gain of the first amplifier is small, then the next amplifier has more gain.
Or vice versa.
Noise.
The second amplifier amplifies the signal and it also amplifies the noise of the first amplifier.
For lowest noise, the first amplifier should always be the quietest, and the one with the most gain
To convert the current to voltage, I used the first photodiode of a TIA amplifier, and then placed two other amplifiers in series so that I could increase the voltage and turn it on with an analog-to-digital converter.
Usually once the transpedance amplifier brings the signal up to a workable level you can relax a little: unless following stages are pretty bad, your signal will be fine.
